Runnymede Farm
We are a sustainable, low carbon footprinted, non-certified organic farm located in beautiful Evans Valley Oregon, not far from the Rogue River and along side the banks of Evans Creek. We try to encompass as many of the natural disciplines in farming as we understand. We borrow from traditional organic, French intensive, bio-dynamic, and the present biological knowledge.
We avoid most practices developed after WWII which attempt to conquer nature and change the biological and chemical make up of living things. It doesn't really matter whether they are "certified organic" or straight commercial, if those practices, like continuous chemical applications or massive insect releases interfere with our understanding of "earth logic," we stay away from them, be they omri approved or not.
Also, overlaying the entire farm is a need for our family to survive economically. So, often practical decisions are open for criticism, review, and revision. You are invited to offer your questions and opinions. Therein lies the joy of practicing the art of living. Our farm could not exist without the loyal dedication of our customers, employees, interns, and volunteers.
